Terms and Conditions
The purchase of any travel services offered by Staycations Anonymous LLC constitutes a contractual arrangement between The Client (all travelers on the trip, hereinafter as “client”) and Staycations Anonymous, and represents the client’s acceptance of Staycations Anonymous’s terms and conditions set out herein. Please ensure that the client reads carefully and understands these terms and conditions prior to booking. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of booking and is the client’s acknowledgement that they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by them.
When the client books their trip, they accept the terms and conditions on behalf of the entire party. It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that all of the details on the confirmations are correct.
TRIP DESTINATION
Staycations Anonymous selects a surprise destination based on the client's travel dates, departure airport and survey responses. By purchasing a surprise trip, the client agrees to these terms and conditions, and gives Staycations Anonymous permission to select the destination for the client’s trip. As such Staycations Anonymous is not liable if the client does not like the trip destination or does not want to travel to that destination, and Staycations Anonymous does not issue refunds based on this reason. Staycations Anonymous gathers trip preferences via a "trip survey". While Staycations Anonymous will attempt to satisfy the preferences expressed in the "trip survey", Staycations Anonymous does not guarantee any specific requests, including but not limited to destination location (except as defined by the package purchased), trip length (except as defined by the package purchased).Staycations Anonymous is not contractually bound by preferences expressed in the trip survey.
Staycations Anonymous makes an effort to keep the client’s destination a surprise for as long as possible, but if the surprise destination is revealed prematurely (ie: before departure day), it does not constitute a reason for rebooking, refunding or canceling the trip.
If the client needs to change or cancel any part of the trip prior to 14 days before departure, The Staycations Anonymous will charge $250 in addition to the fees charged by airlines, hotels, and payment processors. This may be up to 100% of the client's total trip cost. If a client needs to make a change, it is the client’s responsibility to contact Staycations Anonymous as soon as possible to discuss options. The Vacation Hunt cannot guarantee a refund or re-booking.
Changes and/or Cancellation
If the client needs to cancel their trip, they must contact Staycations Anonymous immediately. The Staycations Anonymous cannot provide 100% refunds, and charges a $250 cancellation fee. Cancelled bookings with airlines and hotels are subject to the vendor’s cancellation policies, and may be nonrefundable. Staycations Anonymous cannot change a trip within 14 days of departure, and any cancellations within 14 days of departure will not be refunded.
Please note: We will diligently research the resort and hotels, but we are not responsible for service, food, or transportation issues. Some resorts and hotels may charge an additional resort fee or local tax which must be paid onsite. Additional charges may apply for upgraded food and drink items (such as but not limited to lobster or top-shelf liquor, minibar or room service).
Accommodation Compliance
Accommodations have certain rules the client must follow. If the client is charged extra or evicted from the premises for breaking the rules, Staycations Anonymous is not liable. The client’s payment through Staycations Anonymous covers the client’s reservation fees and most taxes. Additional taxes and fees may be charged by the accommodation for which the client is responsible. All additional fees, including resort/amenity fees and those incurred through incidentals (room service, late checkout, etc.) are to be paid by the client. The client may be asked to provide a credit or debit card at the time of check in. The hotel, bed & breakfast, or other accommodation may reserve the right to charge the client’s credit or debit card for any damage incurred to the room or the accommodation during the client's stay, or for any items that are missing upon departure. Incidentals and rates will vary by accommodation.
Clients are required to comply with all rules and regulations of the booked accommodation. Failure to do so may result in fees or expulsion from the hotel, bed & breakfast or other accommodation. Staycations Anonymous will not be held liable for any additional fees or fines incurred, or legal proceedings between the client and accommodation should they arise.
Please note, accommodations may screen guests and deny lodging on the basis of health indicators including but not limited to symptom checks and temperature scans. It is the client’s responsibility to comply with all screenings. The Vacation Hunt is not responsible for additional fees or costs incurred or for securing alternate lodging.
Important Note – Conditions Beyond Our Control
Many situations present themselves beyond the control of Staycations Anonymous. If something goes seriously wrong, Staycations Anonymous cannot promise any refunds and is not liable.
Compensation will not apply if a change is made for reasons beyond Staycations Anonymous's control. These include (but are not limited to): war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, pandemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports; hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances. Staycations Anonymous can not and does not accept liability or responsibility for any airline or supplier bankruptcy or insolvency and the failure to provide any services that may follow.
Staycations Anonymous books the client’s surprise trip a few days after the client places an order. Staycations Anonymous will research appropriate destinations at the time of booking and if something makes the destination undesirable to the client after bookings are complete, Staycations Anonymous cannot issue a refund, change the trip or cancel it without penalties or fees.
Liability Statement
Staycations Anonymous has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for the client's vacation. Staycations Anonymous acts as an agent for independent travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels and other independent suppliers to provide the client with the services purchased. Services provided by airlines and by others at the client's destination are not the responsibility of Staycations Anonymous. Staycations Anonymous does not accept and expressly disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of these independent suppliers.
The client understands and agrees that Staycations Anonymous is not liable for any loss, injury, expense or damage to persons or property resulting, directly or indirectly, from the acts or omissions of these independent travel suppliers, including but not limited to delays, over bookings, cancellation of services, cessation of operations, accidents, failures of equipment, or changes in fares, itineraries or schedules.
Staycations Anonymous cannot control and will not be responsible for bodily injury, illness, property or other damage or loss caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to flight delays, airline turbulence, transportation accidents, war, terrorism, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restrictions, regulations or actions, mechanical breakdowns, fires, earthquakes, floods, climatic aberrations, acts of, civil unrest, strikes, riots, theft, disease or accidents, or failures related to the public internet, telecommunications lines or facilities, or third party technology systems, other unforeseen circumstances, or any other cause beyond Staycations Anonymous’s control including physical, medical or mental disabilities, failure to obtain valid travel documents or failure to follow travel instructions. Under no circumstances shall Staycations Anonymous be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages arising from the foregoing.
Staycations Anonymous and the airlines issue tickets and/or electronic documents covering transportation and hotel/accommodations. Neither Staycations Anonymous nor these suppliers, or their respective sub-agents, are liable for loss or damage to property or injury of person caused by reason of any act, omission, defect or negligence by any other hotel agency, transportation company or party providing such services or facilities.
All parties concerned are not liable for any claim arising out of or in connection with carriage or other services or features otherwise performed or occurring in connection with this package, except as provided in the conditions of carriage for the transportation company and the passenger tickets issued in conjunction with this package. Staycations Anonymous is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages the client may suffer in connection with air, ground transportation or accommodations.
Media
The unauthorized use of any images on www.Staycations Anonymous.com or any the Staycations Anonymous’s social media accounts is forbidden, and may not be used by third parties without written consent. Failure to do so may result in legal action. By providing pictures, handles or access to the client’s social media account (accepting a follow/friend request, tagging Staycations Anonymous or a SA Team member or providing social media handles) clients give Staycations Anonymous the right to use photos and other electronic media as they see fit. Please inform us in writing before your trip if you do not agree, we respect your privacy.
Privacy Policy
When you fill out a trip survey or place an order on this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. We may collect information like your:

Details relating to your purchase
Email address
Name(s)
Phone number
We share this information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so that they can provide website services to us. We also use this information to book travel on your behalf. We do not sell your information to third parties. Filling out a trip survey automatically signs you up for our email newsletter
What we send you:
An order confirmation email upon initial order placement.
A booking confirmation email, sent after completion of the airline ticket and lodging reservation
An envelope in the mail, sent one week prior to departure, to the mailing address on record. This envelope contains your flight reservation information, hotel reservation information, and prepaid activity reservations, if applicable. It also contains your personalized activity, dining and transportation tips.
An email sent 1-2 days prior to departure, containing electronic copies of the information contained in the envelope.
If you choose to receive clues about where your destination could be, we will send you or post on our social media 2-3 clues, in various formats.

Travel reservations
We book air travel for both domestic and international destination packages
Accommodation reservations
We book your accommodation for the number of nights based on your trip length.
The trip length of a package includes the travel days, and can be either the minimum or maximum number of days indicated by the package selection - to be determined by us.
Activity, dining and transportation tips based on your survey responses
Pre-planned activities
We will try to include 2 pre-pIanned activities for you. The type of activity will depend on survey responses and activity availability at your surprise destination. These activities may be a restaurant reservation, guided, self-guided, or an entrance to an attraction. In our all-inclusive packages, the pre-planned activities refer to the available activities and entertainment programs on-site at the resort.
Customers may also make specific requests in the survey under "Additional Information". We do not guarantee all requests will be fulfilled and we may ask the traveler to upgrade their package to accommodate the request.

Payments:
Payments made on our website are made through the secure payment portal provided by PayPal. We use PayPal to process all payments, and PayPal guarantees that your payment information is safe and protected. The Vacation Hunt does not receive and cannot access your payment information through PayPal. For our surprise vacation packages, you will pay for your vacation immediately upon booking.
Split payments: For surprise vacation packages, we allow travelers to place separate orders. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us if you are travelling with another party booking separately so we can coordinate your trip; we are not responsible for errors resulting from a failure to inform us of the existence of the other party. All travelers must submit payment within 1 week of the first traveler booking or before The Vacation Hunt books the trip, whichever comes first.
Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates to Staycations Anonymous are available to purchase through our website www.thevacationhunt.com. Gift certificates are digital, nonrefundable and do not expire.
COVID DISCLOSURE
In consideration of the travel opportunity afforded to you, the Client and travelers in Clients party, Client, by applying payment on travel presented by the agency providing this document and/or signing this document electronically or otherwise, acknowledges and agrees to the following:
The 2019 Novel Coronavirus* (“COVID-19” “Coronavirus” “Pandemic”) is a known and rapidly evolving pandemic that is affecting travel worldwide, with continued spread and impacts expected.
Client is fully aware of the current global Coronavirus COVID-19 virus outbreak, the current travel restrictions, and inherent risks involved if choosing to travel.
Client understands that it is his/her responsibility to check, understand, and comply with the latest travel information regarding this virus outbreak with the CDC https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices, domestic governing bodies https://travel.state.gov, destination governing bodies, and all vendors associated with Clients travel.
Client is aware that it is his/her personal decision to travel and is doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations, restrictions, and requirements with regards to the Coronavirus COVID-19 and takes full responsibility for his/her actions with regards to this.
Client understands and confirms that the agency providing this document, after reasonable inquiry, has made available to client, by reference, referral, or other conveyance, the best available information known to the agent or agency providing this document regarding pandemic policies provided by travel suppliers and governing bodies, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, cruises lines, tour agencies, insurance provider, transfer agencies or any other entity involved in clients booking.
Client is aware the travel warnings, travel restrictions and rules including screening and use of masks, travel insurance restrictions, and restrictions that may impede Clients ability to enter or exit a destination as planned, related to Covid-19 and understands the risks, is accepting of these and holds PTP harmless for any travel restrictions, death, illness, cancellations by suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour agencies or any other travel provider, financial loss, quarantining rules or measures put in place at airports or destinations Client is traveling through. Client further agrees to hold the agent or agency presenting this document harmless for any financial penalties or fees imposed by the by suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour agencies or any other travel provider due to cancellations or postponements due to Covid-19 and agrees not to sue or institute a credit card dispute or “charge back” to the agent or agency providing this document or its partners or affiliates.
